JP’s Ace Electric proudly partners with Workforce Solutions to provide a paid apprenticeship opportunity for high school students ages 16–18 who are interested in exploring a career in the electrical industry.
This program allows students to gain real-world experience while learning directly from experienced electricians in the field. Participants develop workplace skills, learn electrical fundamentals, and gain valuable exposure to commercial, industrial, and residential electrical projects.

Availability
The apprenticeship program is available to eligible high school students throughout the Rio Grande Valley (RGV).
Students interested in participating should visit their local Workforce Solutions office and request placement with JP’s Ace Electric through the apprenticeship program.
Our goal is to help students build valuable skills, gain work experience, and discover rewarding careers in the electrical industry before they graduate from high school.

The Working Experience Program is designed for individuals 18 years of age and older who are interested in becoming electricians but have little or no field experience.
Many participants may have completed electrical courses or earned certifications but have not yet been given the opportunity to work for an electrical contractor. This program bridges the gap between classroom education and real-world jobsite experience.
Participants work alongside experienced electricians on active projects while continuing their education through structured Saturday training sessions.

Saturday Training
Participants are required to attend training sessions on Saturdays. These classes help ensure that students are applying what they learn in the field while continuing to develop their technical knowledge and professional skills.
